Students can study any classical or modern instrument, along with music theory, aural skills, composition, and music technology. The Conservatory also includes a choir and ensembles open to all students of the Musicopolis Music School. Students of the Conservatory have the option of preparing for formal examinations or taking lessons for their own enjoyment.

Fundamental Music Instruction
Instrument, Voice Lessons, Music Theory, Aural Skills
The core of our music instruction consists of lessons on a particular instrument (including voice), music theory and aural skills. All instruction in these subjects is highly individualized. We personally consult with each student and their families to arrange a customized curriculum that addresses their particular needs. When putting together the curriculum is right for you, we consider the following parameters and options:
Student Level and Learning Goals
Our Conservatory equally welcomes students who desire formal credentials of external examinations as well as those who want to study music for their own for the simple pleasure of learning music for their own personal fulfillment.
Examination Preparation
Musicopolis offers preparation for all grades and subjects of the ABRSM, Trinity, and RockSchool examinations. We therefore offer lessons on all instruments and voice, music theory, and aural skills.
Ungraded Lessons
For students who do not want to follow formal examination curricula, we prepare individualized programs according to their individual musical and development goals. Ungraded lessons are available to students of all levels, from beginners to highly advanced players.
Individual and Group Lessons
All instruction in the Conservatory is available on an individual basis. Additionally, many of our lessons are also available in small-group formats. Following our commitment to collaboration and community, we encourage group lessons for music theory and aural skills, as well as for certain instruments at lower grade levels. Additionally, many of our adult students take group lessons as a way to combine learning music with social interaction.
Lesson Duration
Depending on the subject, level, and format (individual or group), most of our lessons are available in 45- or 60-minute time slots. However, we can provide lessons of shorter or longer durations, according to our students’ needs.
Supplementary Music Subjects
Ensembles, Choir, Composition
Ensembles
“Music brings people together” – Our motto is most fully expressed by our ensembles classes, where students of similar ages and levels join with their instructors to participate in communal music making. Our ensemble options include our choir, piano duets, classical chamber music, and popular music bands.
Choir
The Musicopolis School Choir consists of 23 members of children aged 6 to 11, has been participating in various events and festivals for 6 the past years. The choir has been directed by the conductor Kyriaki Steliou and the pianistic accompaniment by the composer Andreas Michalopoulos. The choir is also regularly accompanied by our School’s band, under the guidance of bass player Michalis Messios. The choir’s repertoire includes diverse styles of music from Cyprus, Greece and foreign countries.
The purpose of the choir beyond the voice training and listening, is to develop interaction between children and give a sense of responsibility to each other. The students acquaintance with music is achieved through an extensive Greek and foreign repertoire including songs from musicals, movies, and Greek and Cypriot popular songs. The choir appears at various events and festivals in places outside the School.
Composition
The ability to create new works of music is a hallmark of musical creativity and represents one of the most rewarding music activities. Our individual and group lessons in composition provide our students with skills in melody writing, harmonization, musical forms, and orchestration and arranging. Students who study composition have the opportunity to hear their works come to life through performance by their fellow students and teachers in the Conservatory.
