Ensembles
Choir
Research shows that singing in choir is one of the best ways to train the young student’s musicality and develop social and collaborative skills around the act of music making. Our choir rehearses for one hour per week and performs several times throughout the year, including Christmas events, festivals, nursing homes and during our final concert.
Mixed Ensembles
Mixed ensembles provide our older students the opportunity to apply their instrument and voice skills in a group music-making situation. Mainly intended for adolescents and adults that prefer popular music, our ensembles bring together students representing all of our instruments. The students pick the repertory themselves and our expert ensemble coaches arrange the music according to the instruments and skill levels of the ensemble members. Our ensembles rehearse for one hour per week and participate as featured performers in our various concerts.
Classical Ensembles
Bringing together students of similar skill levels, these ensembles enable our students to apply their performance skills to classical repertory in a collaborative music-making setting. Our ensembles rehearse for one hour per week and participate as featured performers in our various concerts, including Christmas events, festivals, and our final concert.
